What "Reconditioned" Means Here

Claude buys used appliances, repairs whatever needs repairing, tests them until they work properly, and sells them. These aren't appliances being sold "as-is" with unknown problems. They're machines he has personally worked on and confirmed are functional.

The "We Recycle" motto on the logo has been there since 1983 — it's not a marketing line, it's how the business works. Repair first, sell reconditioned second, only replace with new when there's no other good option.

What's Typically Available

Inventory changes, but Claude usually has a selection of:

  • Washers — top-load, various brands and sizes
  • Dryers — electric, various brands
  • Refrigerators — top-freezer, occasionally bottom-freezer or side-by-side
  • Stoves — electric ranges

Call to ask what's available right now. He'll tell you what he has and what it costs. No pressure, no sales pitch.

How Much Do Reconditioned Appliances Cost?

Significantly less than new. A reconditioned washer or dryer will typically run a fraction of what you'd pay at a big box store for a new equivalent. The exact price depends on the machine, its age, and what work it needed. Call to ask.

Why Buy Reconditioned Instead of New?

Three reasons:

  1. Cost. You're paying for a working machine, not a brand name and a warranty you'll probably never use.
  2. Environment. Every appliance that gets reconditioned and reused is one fewer appliance in the landfill.
  3. Experience. Claude has already fixed whatever was wrong with it. He knows the machine.

What If It Breaks After I Buy It?

Call Claude. He's the one who sold it to you and he stands behind his work. If something fails shortly after purchase, he'll look at it.
